Tickhill Gala was the first of three shows we planned to attend this year and it was a very enjoyable show indeed. We had the usual equipment with Mark, Dave and Lesley, Vic, Sandra and Elaine in attendance. Heavy rain in the morning till 9:00am then it cleared and was replaced by fluffy summer clouds and clear patches for the rest of the day. Lots of people came for a look at the Sun or at the people on the other side of the large arena with the big binoculars. The Gala lasted from noon till 5:00pm but most had began to leave around 4:00pm and we packed up and left by 4:30pm for a meal of fish and chips at Elaine's, before moving on to Austerfield for the Watch Group's Stargazing session.
